Zoo Med Can O’ Silkworms offers a practical solution to diversify your pet reptile's diet while ensuring you’re prepared for unexpected feeding needs. These 1" silkworms are ideal for nourishing reptiles, amphibians, and even birds. Additionally, they serve as excellent fishing bait!
Compared to other feeder insects, silkworms are softer and gentler on the digestive system. They provide vital amino acids and beneficial polyunsaturated fats, supporting your pet’s health.
Feeding Guidelines:
For lizards and amphibians: Coat silkworms with calcium prior to feeding. Place Zoo Med canned silkworms in a shallow dish or use feeding tongs to offer them. Adjust the quantity based on the animal’s size.
For aquatic turtles: Allow them to eat as much as they can in 5 minutes, then remove and dispose of any leftovers.
Uneaten silkworms should be discarded after 24 hours.
Store in the refrigerator after opening and consume within 7 days.
